Job Overview

Responsibilities (others added as the practice grows)
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures in outpatient setting
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient encounters and update medical records
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked in the patient rooms and storage cabinets
- Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and ICD coding practices for billing and documentation purposes
Skills
- Some knowledge of dermatologic terms is helpful. But if candidate is desirable, we will train you.
- Some proficiency in using EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient data management. Must be willing to be trained on systems such as AthenaHealth or eClinicalWorks, etc.)
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and comfort helping with examining the skin
- Ability to perform intake assessments efficiently while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism
- Willing to be trained in regular derm office practices; not limited to, using an autoclave to clean instruments, setting up biopsy trays, handling lab specimens, assisting patients in the rooms, etc.
