What You’ll Do
The District Education Manager (DEM), Central leads the education strategy for the market across MN, WI, IL, TX and OH. They develop and execute actionable education plans aligned with business goals and oversee the instructors delivering learning experiences within Dermalogica Learning Lofts and in-field education. The role combines strategic leadership with operational oversight to maintain Dermalogica’s standards and drive business success.
Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations, the DEM ensures education initiatives are fully aligned with business growth strategies and the evolving needs of professional skin therapists. This leader fosters a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation within the education team.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance & Goal Management
In partnership with the National Education Director, set clear expectations, monitor performance, and implement strategies for continuous improvement across the district. Track key performance indicators for education delivery, attendance, and business impact, using data-driven insights to guide coaching, development, and strategic planning. Collaborate with your direct manager to review progress and align priorities, ensuring district goals support national objectives.
Team Leadership & Culture
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture where educators feel supported, valued, and motivated to grow. Lead with Dermalogica’s core values of education, expertise, and human connection through consistent coaching, recognition, and purposeful leadership that drives engagement and accountability
Mentorship & Development
Coach and develop instructors through regular feedback, performance conversations, and ongoing training. Partner with the National Training Manager to cultivate team growth and advancement through ongoing development, ensuring educators continuously elevate their skills and deliver impactful learning experiences across all platforms.

What You’ll Bring
Key Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. - 2 years of strategic leadership experience, ideally within the skincare or retail industry and supporting multi-location or field-based teams. Demonstrated success in developing and executing education strategies that drive business growth and professional engagement.
- Proven team management experience, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align initiatives with business objectives.
- Residence in the Chicago, IL or Plano, TX region required.
- Excellent organizational and calendar management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple priorities, locations, and team schedules.
- Clear and confident communicator, capable of delivering feedback, facilitating conversations, and representing the education team in leadership forums
- Comfortable with reporting tools and standard office technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, virtual meeting tools)
- Adaptable and solution-oriented, able to think on your feet, make sound decisions after considering all implications, remain composed under pressure, and adjust quickly to change.
