Core Values At DD, our core values underpin our culture and guide our actions:Servant's Heart: Find joy in serving others, ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.Own It: Take full accountability for the care provided and actively contribute to the betterment of our practice.Showtime: Bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and energy to every patient encounter and interaction with colleagues.DD Family: Foster a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, working as a cohesive team to achieve our common goal of exceptional patient care.PerksWeekly Pay Paid TrainingUniform ProvidedOpportunities for AdvancementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee Discount on Cosmetic Services and Products Position PurposeIn conjunction with Facilities Manager and Facilities Department personnel, the Facilities Engineer will support the development and execution of efficient facilities operations, repair programs, and preventative maintenance schedules to ensure safe, functional, and optimized work environments across the enterprise.Role and ResponsibilitiesCollaborates cross-functionally with Facilities, IT, and Operations teams to ensure transparent communication and efficient project execution.Performs basic repairs and first-line diagnostics on systems including door hardware, refrigeration systems, HVAC, emergency lighting, alarm sensors, office lighting, plumbing, and finishing tasks such as patching and painting.Manages vendor relationships for janitorial, pest control, and other facility services, ensuring service quality and compliance with contractual obligations.Responds promptly to critical facilities issues, coordinates with approved contractors, and supervises repair work as needed.Maintains collaborative relationships with landlord representatives, building management personnel and engineering teams.Sources replacement parts and attic stock through approved vendors to support timely repairs.Maintains accurate documentation of repairs, work orders, maintenance schedules, vendor contacts, and inventory of attic stock and spare parts.Utilizes mobile and digital platforms for alarm systems, access control, and internal communications.Develops and executes preventative maintenance plans for critical systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, alarm sensors, and structural components.Interprets technical documents such as building plans, specifications, and manuals to perform root-cause analysis and support facilities planning.Qualifications and Education RequirementsBasic knowledge of email and web browser applications. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Suite including Outlook and Excel.Preferred SkillsPrior experience in facilities or building engineer roles.Additional NotesFlexible scheduling is required, including availability on weekends and extended hours based on operational needs.Daily travel within the Chicagoland area is required, with mileage reimbursement provided.Candidates must maintain a valid IL driver’s license, a clean driving record, and comply with all state driving laws and regulations.Reliable transportation is required, capable of safely transporting tools, repair parts, and office equipment.Must be able to report to any current or future Chicagoland office within a reasonable timeframe to meet or exceed company service level agreement standards.Edit jobOpenView public job page
