POSITION PURPOSEThis is a patient facing sales position. The Cosmetic Consultant works with patients to choose the right skin care products and treatments to suit their age, skin-type and lifestyle.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Helps patients find the products and procedures that meet their skin-care needs• Has extensive knowledge of products and procedures that are offered at Derick Dermatology and explains them in depth• Executes a proper cosmetic consultation, formulate a plan, and give patients realistic expectations on the outcome• Understands the fundamentals of lasers: how they work, wavelengths, settings, etc.• Safely and effectively performs laser treatments on patients• Works and manages one’s own schedule in a timely manner• Is accommodating to “add-on” patients• Comfortable troubleshooting issues after cosmetic procedure and give proper advice on how to correct• Assists the provider during administration of injectables while making sure the patient is comfortable• Delivers excellent customer service• Has strong communication skills• Additional duties as neededQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalentPREFERRED SKILLS• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records Systems• Licensed esthetician or cosmetologist• 1-2 years of clinical experience
