You should have excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate project status and technical issues clearly.We are looking for a detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer with a strong background in API testing to join our fast-paced technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for our RESTful and/or SOAP APIs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—developers, product managers, DevOps, and other QA engineers—to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with product owners and development teams to understand business requirements and acceptance criteria for API-related features.Contribute to defining test strategies, including both manual and automated approaches, to effectively validate APIs.Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test suites for API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.Build automated frameworks to streamline testing, reduce manual overhead, and ensure consistency.Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and identify root causes of defects.Track and report defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, ensuring defects are assigned to the correct teams and resolved in a timely manner.Provide clear and concise test results, metrics, and status updates to stakeholders.Participate in code reviews of test scripts and mentor team members on best practices for test automation.Work closely with the development team to ensure APIs are designed for testability and reliability.Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools or processes to improve test coverage, reliability, and speed.Required Skills: 7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Test Automation, particularly with API-focused testing.Solid background in designing and implementing automated frameworks for API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, Karate, SoapUI, or similar tools).Familiarity with web technologies, RESTful/SOAP protocols, JSON/XML structures, and API design principles.P&C Insurance, API Testing with tools like postman and Automation
