Job Description
Derek Rubinoff, Architect is now accepting resumes for a full-time architect with 0 to 10 years experience (with a degree in an accredited BArch or MArch program).
Founded in 2009, Derek Rubinoff, Architect is an award-winning seven-person boutique architectural/interiors practice with specialties in residential, restaurant, retail, and office design. Our tight-knit team has a collaborative, imaginative, experiential approach to designing memorable spaces and buildings. Our clients are great to work with.
The candidate who we need to join our team should be an ambitious, motivated, engaging, and talented architect--a creative, effective individual who would enjoy working as part of a team designing and implementing impactful places in the service of our clients. We're looking for an individual who can work well with others but who has the ambition to take the lead on smaller projects; manage those projects; help conceive and implement design ideas; and produce construction documents, help with their coordination, and detailing. The candidate should enjoy client interaction and should be able to gain the confidence and appreciation of our clients as well as our senior staff.
Applicants must possess strong Revit (modelling, rendering, drafting), Lumion, Enscape, Photoshop, and InDesign skills. The ability to use AutoCAD, Illustrator, and the ability to hand draw all are beneficial. Professional written and verbal skills are essential. A passionate, engaged interest in architecture, urban spaces and/or interior architecture would complement our work.
You are going to grow here: you have the opportunity to be involved in many projects in a kaleidoscope of roles; accordingly, prioritization and independent motivation are prized assets. Licensure (or a track toward licensure) would impress us and would be supported by us.
We are located in beautiful, walkable West Roxbury at 84 Spring St., 02132-4316, easily reached by several bus lines and the Needham commuter rail line. Ample street parking is available right outside the office.
