Frequent bending,
stooping, squatting, twisting, manual dexterity, and hand/eye
coordination throughout the
day. Occasional evening hours and overtime are required to respond to
facility emergencies.

Essential Functions
100% Facility Maintenance
- Utilizes the citys asset management system and computer-based tools to
orders, assigned tasks, preventive maintenance, and equipment records.
- Conduct minor maintenance to HVAC and other building systems.
- Conduct minor repairs to buildings and equipment which may include
painting, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Provide assistance for city functions and events, including setting up
for various activities and meetings.
- Replace light bulbs and ballasts when needed.
- Respond to janitorial emergencies.
- Stock supplies in storage rooms in a neat and orderly manner and
when supplies need to be ordered.
- Operate motor vehicles and other equipment on a regular basis.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Assist with snow and ice preparation, when assigned.
- Respond to department and city emergencies.
- Assist with projects across other divisions within Public Works.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- One year of facility maintenance experience, preferred.
- Valid Kansas drivers license and driving record must meet commercial
insurance requirements.
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100, 200 and 700
within 12 months of employment.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- General knowledge of building maintenance and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to use asset management and work order software effectively.
- General knowledge of computers and tablets for data entry and
