Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems for checkout transactions, including cash handling and basic retail math
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring product availability
- Assist with inventory management through stock replenishment and organization
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Support supervising staff during busy periods or when needed
- Ensure the store maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by following proper safety protocols and phone etiquette
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math concepts
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are advantageous
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos is beneficial
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting while maintaining attention to detail
