Derby Dinner Playhouse is a busy, family-friendly dinner theatre committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and memorable experience for our guests. After each performance, our Cleaning Crew ensures the arena and lobby areas are spotless and ready for the next show.

The Evening Cleaning Crew is responsible for thoroughly cleaning the arena, dining areas, restrooms, and lobby following each evening's performance. This role is crucial in creating a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. The work is fast-paced and requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently after shows conclude. This is an evening position, and the shifts are typically 10:00 pm - 1:00 am.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the arena and dining areas after each performance, including tables, chairs, floors, and aisles.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum all required spaces.
• Remove trash from the arena, restrooms, and lobby
• Clean and restock restrooms (toilets, sinks, counters, supplies).
• Wipe down railings, doors, high-touch surfaces, and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures when working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Facilities Manager.
• Support additional cleaning tasks as assigned to prepare the theatre for the next event.
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive without direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Ability to follow checklists and complete tasks consistently.
• Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays based on performance schedules.
