Implant Designer

We are seeking a skilled Implant Designer to support our Implant Department through accurate, efficient digital design of implant-retained restorations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implant-supported restorations including crowns, bridges, bars, hybrids, and full-arch cases using CAD software
- Interpret prescriptions, scans, photos, and clinical notes to ensure functional and esthetic accuracy
- Collaborate with implant technicians, managers, and clinicians to resolve design challenges
- Apply proper implant library usage, emergence profiles, screw access placement, and occlusal principles
- Participate in case planning and digital workflows including surgical guides and provisional designs when applicable
- Ensure designs meet Derby Dental Laboratory quality standards and turnaround expectations
- Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding case requirements, revisions, and timelines
- Maintain organized digital case files and documentation
- Stay current with evolving implant systems, materials, and digital design best practices
Qualifications:
- Prior experience designing implant-retained dental restorations in a laboratory environment
- Proficiency in dental CAD software such as 3Shape, Exocad, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of implant systems, components, and restorative workflows
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on function, fit, and esthetics
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to learn new systems, materials, and technologies
