FUNCTION
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for the non-cooking activities such as dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and overall kitchen cleanliness.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for cleaning kitchen work areas and food service equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, washing work tables and walls, and overall kitchen cleanliness.
- Responsible for removing trash, cleaning trash cans, washing dishes by hand or in the dishwasher, and cleaning fryers and vents.
- Responsible for reporting any maintenance required for kitchen areas and ensure food service equipment is in proper working order.
- Responsible for stocking and cleanliness of Team Member breakroom.
- Assist with stocking of non-alcoholic beverage stations.
- Ensure the safety and security of Team Members.
- Other duties as assigned
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Understanding all kitchen equipment and appliances for maintenance and cleaning purposes.
- Must have basic knowledge of chemical usage and be able to meet any required OSHA regulations and health department standards.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure situations in an interruptive environment.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of food service work experience is preferred
- Must be able to complete any classes or certifications required.
- Able to obtain a valid Racing License.
