As a Supervisory Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist you will direct a District Office EEO Investigation Program and report directly to the District Manager of Field Operations. The incumbent will have full authority to plan, organize, direct, staff, review, and evaluate the District EEO Investigation Program. The incumbent provides the full range of supervisory responsibilities for subordinates including investigators and support staff.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves: (1) Mentoring EEO investigators on policies and procedures; (2) Providing technical guidance regarding EEO processes; and (3) Monitoring performance goals that align with the plans of a district office or federal agency.
