We are currently searching for DOT certified Trailer Mechanic with 2-4 years of tank and/or trailer repair and inspection experience for our Port Allen, LA location!

Shift Hours: Monday Friday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $24.00 to $38.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
(Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)
Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
Physical Demands:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
