Service Parts Expeditor I

We currently have an opening for a Service Parts Expeditor and are seeking a motivated individual with a clean driving record to join a fast paced team. The Parts Expediter position compiles and maintains the material and parts inventory and status information to expedite the movement of material and parts between production areas by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Functions

• Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
• Confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts and to inform supervisors of material status.
• Directs warehouse staff to expedite the transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
• Examines material received, verifies parts numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Compares work ticket specifications to the material used at work stations to verify appropriate assignments.
  
  

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Clean driving record
• Experience handling parts inventory
• Attention to detail and sense of urgency
• The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with all levels of the organization and have a background in parts, fleets, tanks or be mechanically inclined.
  
  

Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and, with assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
