We are currently searching for an ISO Tank Mechanic who is looking to start a career at our Chalmette facility!

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Starting Pay: $19/hr
Role overview:
Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.
Position Responsibilities:
- Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
- Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
- Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
- Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
- Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
- Lubricate and clean parts
- Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
- Use hand tools and power tools
Qualifications:
- Candidates will possess a mechanical background
- Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
- Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
