Duties
- Safely operate flatbed tow trucks to load, transport, and unload vehicles with precision and care
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery method
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently, ensuring secure placement on the flatbed for transport
- Assist customers with roadside needs, providing excellent customer service and conflict management when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of each tow, including details of vehicle condition and location
- Perform routine inspections of tow truck equipment, including flatbeds, forklifts, and other tools to ensure safety standards are met
Requirements
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbeds, with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Ability to manually load, secure, and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment
- Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive diagnostics tools is preferred
