Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist – Nights | 7 On / 7 Off
We are recruiting inpatient experienced pharmacist for a 13 week, 7-On/7-Off opportunity. This is a travel position in Northern Arizona. Furnished housing will be provided for travel pharmacist. Inpatient experienced pharmacist must have Cerner experience.
This overnight inpatient opportunity offers a balanced 7 on / 7 off schedule, strong interdisciplinary collaboration, and the chance to practice in a progressive clinical setting.
Start Date: 6/8/2026
This 24-hour inpatient pharmacy utilizes advanced integrated technology systems including electronic health records, computerized physician order entry, automated dispensing technology, clinical decision support tools, IV compounding systems, and decentralized clinical pharmacy services. Pharmacists rotate through both centralized operations and specialized patient care areas including:
- Medical-Surgical
- Critical Care
- Behavioral Health
- Pediatrics
- Women & Infant Services
- Surgical Services
- Orthopedics / Total Joint Care
Clinical Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services and document interventions to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage medication therapy protocols including:
- Pharmacokinetic dosing
- Antimicrobial stewardship
- Renal dose adjustment
- Anticoagulation monitoring
- Total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
- Therapeutic drug monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to provide evidence-based pharmacotherapy recommendations
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic appropriateness
- Provide clinically relevant drug information and education to healthcare professionals and patients
- Participate in emergency/code response activities and ensure timely medication support
- Identify and investigate medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and safety concerns
- Utilize advanced pharmacy technologies and clinical software platforms to support patient care
Operational Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense medications, including sterile IV preparations
- Maintain compliance with controlled substance regulations and inventory processes
- Support medication distribution workflows and inventory management
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional patient care
