Dependable Metal Products is a small business in Wolcottville, IN. We are a growing production manufacturing facility with great benefits. Our hours of operations are 5:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our team for as contractual project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, with expertise in welding, cutting, and shaping various metals to create precise and high-quality products. The Fabricator will work closely with our engineering and production teams to fabricate components and structures according to specifications and blueprints.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to fabricate metal components and structures.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines, including welding equipment, plasma cutters, and press brakes, to cut, bend, and shape metal.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies in fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and maintenance of fabrication equipment and tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor junior fabricators and assist in their professional development as needed.
