Job Overview
We are seeking a Fleet Technician / Fleet Specialist to join our maintenance team. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and reliability of our fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. The successful candidate will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of vehicles and machinery, supporting our commitment to dependable service delivery. Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks, forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and mechanical knowledge
• Perform repairs including brake systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC systems, and diesel engine repairs
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques for assembly and repair tasks
• Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards such as air brake certifications and emissions regulations
• Assist in fabrication projects involving heavy machinery or farm equipment as needed
• Support tire service operations including mounting, balancing, and replacing tires on various vehicles

Experience

• Proven experience working as a mechanic or service technician within a dealership or heavy equipment environment
• Strong background in automotive repair with familiarity in electrical systems and troubleshooting complex machinery
• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or tractor-trailers
• Knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical systems to facilitate accurate diagnostics
• Demonstrated ability to perform welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks effectively
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate repair needs clearly and professionally
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures
