What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician position at Dependable Alarm?
We are seeking a skilled Service and Installation Technician to join our team on a full-time, 40-hour-per-week basis. This role involves installation, service, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems across residential and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and troubleshoot burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control (door entry), and surveillance systems
- Perform system diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades in the field
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding system operation and service needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Required / Preferred Experience:
- Working knowledge of DMP (required)
- Familiarity with Silent Knight, Honeywell, DSC, and Radionics (strongly preferred)
- Experience with burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV/surveillance systems
- Field service and/or installation experience in low voltage systems
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Professional communication and customer service skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- $30–$40 per hour, commensurate with experience
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Company vehicle provided
- All major tools required for the job provided (with the exception of standard personal hand tools)
