Position Summary
The Human Resource Supervisor will lead the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring that our "team approach" extends to how we manage, support, and develop our most valuable asset: our people. This role requires a blend of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on administration to support a dynamic legal practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Management: Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, ensuring we attract candidates who align with our collaborative culture.
- Employee Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for personnel issues, providing guidance that balances firm policy with our signature personalized approach.
- Compliance & Policy: Maintain and update employee handbooks and policies to ensure compliance with federal and state laws across our multi-state footprint (PA, NY, and OH).
- Professional Development: Coordinate internal educational initiatives and track continuing education credits for our diverse team of professionals.
- Benefits & Compensation: Supervise the administration of competitive benefits packages and perform regular market analysis to ensure equitable compensation.
- Performance Oversight: Manage the annual review process, fostering a culture of continuous feedback and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is highly preferred.
- Skills: * Deep knowledge of Labor & Employment laws.
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, suited for a sophisticated professional environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attributes: A "down-to-earth" demeanor with the ability to navigate the complexities of a large, multi-state practice.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
