Assistant Director of Athletics

Type: Full-Time, 12-Month
Position Overview
DePaul Catholic High School seeks an energetic and organized Assistant Director of Athletics to support the oversight of its athletic program, serving approximately 450 students across 12–15 interscholastic sports. The Assistant AD will work closely with the Director of Athletics to ensure smooth program operations, promote student-athlete success, and strengthen the school community through athletics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination of practices, games, officials, transportation, and facilities.
- Support student-athletes by promoting academic accountability, sportsmanship, and team culture.
- Manage athletic eligibility requirements, health/safety protocols, and compliance records.
- Help recruit, support, and evaluate coaches; oversee the purchase of uniforms and equipment.
- Supervise game-day operations and assigned sports, including ticketing, event set-up, and crowd management.
- Collaborate with Advancement and Admissions to highlight athletics in marketing and community events.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts for athletic programs, uniforms, and facility improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Previous experience in athletics administration, coaching, or event management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work evenings/weekends.
- Commitment to Catholic values and to the growth of student-athletes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
