Key Responsibilities:
- Boiler Operations: Independently ignite, operate, secure, and maintain power to boilers and auxiliary equipment ensuring a continuous supply of steam.
- Maintenance Duties: Operate and maintain all boiler plant equipment, including pumps, fans, and water systems. Perform preventive maintenance on three natural gas/fuel oil boilers and two biomass boilers.
- Decision Making: Choose appropriate fuel for efficient operation and make critical decisions about equipment shutdowns and maintenance requirements.
- Supervision and Repair: Supervise wood chip unloading, inspect storage facilities, and repair material handling conveyors and ash disposal mechanisms.
- Water Testing: Test and analyze boiler water for various chemical properties to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Safety and Documentation: Maintain a clean and safe work site, monitor power control panels, make necessary adjustments, and maintain detailed logs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Demonstrated experience or training in boiler plant operations, supported by detailed descriptions in your resume.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work from ladders, platforms, and confined spaces, and handle materials up to 100 lbs.
- Working Conditions: Willing to work in hot, noisy environments and wear prescribed safety equipment at all times.

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (subject to change based on position coverage needs).
