This position is open for recruitment and fully funded following the 2025 Special Legislative Session.

Join us as a grant services manager! In this role, you will provide grant management and program services for the public transportation division. You will coordinate grant management processes for state and federal public transportation funding, support transit providers and implement best practices. Apply today!

A day in the life:
  • Work with the Federal Transit Administration and external public transportation providers to create and execute grant agreements.
  • Calculate formula and discretionary program allocations to determine and administer formula grant distributions.
  • Establish and coordinate processes for tracking federal and state grant funding in multiple systems.
  • Monitor and track complex financial information; identify and analyze complex problems to develop and implement solutions.
  • Measure grant administration performance and implement improvements.
  • Ensure ODOT’s compliance as a recipient of state and federal public transportation funds.
  • Work with unit managers to formulate long-range objectives and short-term goals for the division.
  • Participate as a member of the public transportation department on interdepartmental committees as necessary.
  • Work in an office environment with hybrid work options available - in-person meetings or office work anticipated at least once a month depending on business need with occasional travel may be required primarily within Oregon.

Minimum qualifications:
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification related to financial or grant management and application.
OR
A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work related to financial or grant management and application.
Special qualifications:
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
