Manages the Base Engine Management program for the 412th Test Wing (FJ Accounts). Coordinates with engine and aircraft maintenance personnel planning, scheduling, and controlling aircraft/engine maintenance and related equipment resource time changes, time compliance technical orders (TCTO) and inspections.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support positions located here
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-8 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences is to act as the single point of contact for all aircraft engine related equipment transfers and movement of propulsion systems assigned to the wing. Oversees the work of the engine management element, ensuring that maintenance is coordinated and scheduled efficiently, and that accurate diagnostic trending and evaluation is provided for maintenance managers and supervisors to enhance their ability to make sound decisions to improve unit performance, equipment conditions, and personnel skills as well as to evaluate the overall health of the fleet.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
1. Knowledge and skill of appropriated production processes and material posture to assure continuing availability of engine and related equipment resources.
2. Ability to plan, schedule, and take corrective action to meet emergency and regular workload requirements.
3. Ability to interpret terminology, technical data, standards and instructions, and to relate them properly to the particular control projects assigned in preparing production plans and schedules and in maintaining effective follow-up.
4. Knowledge and skill of aircraft database systems for scheduling and managing configuration of engine resources.
5. Knowledge and skill of aircraft database systems for scheduling and managing configuration of engine
resources.
6. Skill in gathering data from automated systems and performing detailed analysis to identify trends in engine
and sub-system failures. Ability to utilize common software applications to prepare informative reports to assist
in the presentation of findings to maintenance professionals.

- 1 year of exp. with REMIS (Reliability and Maintainability Information System)
