Stock Clerk (General Services)

The Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero is a secure public sector hospital providing inpatient forensic services for mentally ill adult males who are court committed throughout the State of California.

The Stock Clerk (12-month Limited Term Assignment) will be directed by the Clothing Center Manager in General Services at the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

• Receive, sort, inventory, store and deliver items to assigned area
• Update and maintain databases for inventory control and patient information
• Must be able to read and write in English and follow oral and written communication
• Must be able to use basic math calculations
• Leads and provides training and instruction to patients in a Vocational Services Assignment (VSA), when assigned
• Completes monthly timesheets and evaluations on assigned patients

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Either I: One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Service Assistant (Warehouse and Stores). OR II: One year of experience as a stock or shipping clerk.
