The Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero is a secure public sector hospital providing inpatient forensic services for mentally ill adult males who are court committed throughout the State of California.
The Graduate Student Assistant (Diet Office) will be directed by the assigned Dietetics Assistant Director in Nutrition Services at the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:
- Diet order processing
- Monitor modified diet provision
- Assist the Dietetic Technicians to provide support to Registered Dietitians
- Performance Improvement and other duties as assigned

Applicant MUST provide proof of current enrollment in a graduate level Nutrition or Food Service Management major OR already possess a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Food Service Management.
**Schedule will be Maximum of 1500 hours per Fiscal Year**
