Duties

  • You will research, extract, analyze, and refine a wide variety of technical and non-technical material and information related to complex subjects.
  • You will identify and interview experts in the particular subject matter area.
  • You will select, organize, and verify information from all stakeholders.
  • You will interpret information in a manner that facilitates the presentation of technical data accurately.
  • You will write, edit, and prepare for publication documents (e.g., formal instructions, reports, case studies, assessments) in a form suitable for intended audiences.
  • You will determine appropriate style, manner of presentation, and format for each writing assignment.
  • You will manage writing projects from initial assignment through completion. Requirements Conditions of employment

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector researching, analyzing and interpreting information to write, edit and publish administrative documentation (e.g., instructions, procedures, reports, and assessments) for an organization. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Substitution of education for GS-11: Completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.)
