This position will have hybrid workplace options available however the applicant selected will be required to report to the listed office location at least 3 days per week.

Position serves as the first level supervisor over all staff and functional areas within the Employee Relations team including Risk Management, Workers Compensation, Ergonomics, FMLA, ADA, Benefits, Safety and Labor Relations Policy. Develop agency wide goals and objectives to ensure compliance with department policy, state personnel rules, and state and federal laws.
Position serves as a strategic partner with HR Director and HR Leadership in the areas of Employee Relations, Benefits, and Risk Management. Develop and/or supervise development of policy and procedures for Employee Relation programs; ensure consistent and equitable application of policies, and compliance with state personnel rules and state and federal laws.
Enforce regulation and policies in the CDLE Equal Opportunity program. Establish and oversee CDLE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Civil Rights Laws and those regulations and/or laws formulated by the US Department of Labor. Evaluate department equal opportunities practices and advise the department of any problems, deficiencies or improper practices in the delivery of services and protections afforded by EO regulations. Oversees Benefits to ensure timely responses and proper administration of various types of leave and job protection.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Conducting workplace investigations in conjunction with EEO complaints including Title VII
- Colorado Civil Rights Division investigations.

Education and Experience:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervision experience.
- Writing EEO complaint responses to CCRD, EEOC
- Experience conducting/coordinating threat assessments
- Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with employment law protections (WC, ADA, FMLA, FAMLI, etc.)
- Benefits administration for health, dental, and life insurance
- SHRM, HRCI certification
- Experience performing similar duties as a State of Colorado classified employee.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be a current resident of Colorado.
- Must pass a thorough background check prior to employment which will include the E-Verify process.
Appeal Rights:
