As a Supervisory Program Analyst, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by
  • Serve as a key senior analyst and advisor, providing expert advice, guidance and support to the DAS on the key mission-critical issues, initiatives, and agency functions.
  • Assesses need for special studies of program operations.
  • Directs activities and special projects where two or more centers/offices/divisions are involved, and on projects requiring coordination with the programs of the Federal agencies.
  • At the discretion of the Director involving extensive research, fact-finding, and analysis on a variety of high-level subjects of critical importance to the agency.
  • Maintains liaison with program, division, and other interested HHS components, as well as advisory groups, through representing the Director on committees and work groups, or arranging for or fulfilling requests for information and comments.
QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
  • Serving as a senior advisor to executive leadership on mission-critical issues, strategic initiatives, and agency operations.
  • Providing expertise on trusted exchange of electronic health information, including policies enabling interoperability across the care continuum.
  • Leading cross-cutting programs and special projects involving multiple divisions, federal partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Analyzing and coordinating agency-wide program and policy issues, including assessing impacts of regulations, legislation, and organizational changes.
  • Representing executive leadership in high-level meetings and interagency forums, serving as a liaison across HHS and external partners.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
