One position is located at the Whiteriver Service Unit in Whiteriver, Arizona. One position is located at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The Medical Staff Coordinator coordinates the credentialing process and works professionally and independently to ensure a reliable and organized credentialing process for the medical staff. Incumbent reports to the Clinical Director.

- Initiates verification requests for medical licensure, board certification, medical school graduation, residency, post-graduate training and any other pertinent training.
- Tracks and maintains logs of medical staff membership, clinical privileges, and licensures/certifications to ensure that they do not expire.
- Attends Medical Staff Executive Committee Meetings and services as a technical advisor on credentialing and privileging.
- Serves as an advisor to the Clinical Director on matters in which the Medical Staff credentialing process can be carried out in the most effective, efficient manner.
- Works with the computerized credentialing software systems for overall medical staff credentialing.
- Coordinates the overall program/process for all visiting medical students, physician assistant students, nurse practitioner students, volunteers and resident rotations in accordance to policies.
