The purpose of this position is to serve as a clinical specialist in Endodontics to provide dental service to the designated population in accordance with the Indian Health Service policies.

- Diagnostic by use of patient history, radiographs, examinations, diagnostic models, and other appropriate tests.
- Endodontic restoration of teeth having suffered severe and rampant caries, periodontal disease, and trauma to the oral cavity and supporting structures.
- Provides emergency services including the treatment of trauma, pain and infection.
- Participate in the development and implementation of continuing education courses for the dental program.
- Provide technical guidance for the service unit dentists in the development and oepration of direct and contract endodontic programs.

- Your resume must demonstrate at least three (3) years of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Provide diagnostic and therapeutic endodontic services, including use of patient history, radiographs, and clinical examination to evaluate pulpal and periapical conditions. Perform complex root canal treatments, retreatments, and surgical procedures for teeth affected by severe caries, periodontal disease, and trauma. Manage care for medically and mentally compromised patients, including geriatric populations and those with systemic disease. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams while independently managing complex specialty cases and ensuring compliance with infection control standards;
- Completed a 3-year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or related medical science.
