Card Services Specialist

Job Summary

DOCCU is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Card Services Specialist to join our Electronic Services team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be the SME responsible for managing all Card services related business, directing card related work of the Electronics Services Assistant, addressing card-related inquiries, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. Duties and Responsibilities

• Open and close accounts for Credit, ATM and Debit Cards.
• Order new/replacement cards for members and input new card numbers in the system.
• Routine maintenance/cleanup of duplicate cards.
• Process member maintenance requests as related to Card Services.
• Research and resolve member inquiries regarding account statements, disputes and monetary adjustments.
• Handle card disputes and file with insurance company, when necessary.
• Identify, review and report fraud through the fraud detection system.
• Maintain the General Ledger reconciliation spreadsheet for the Accounting Department regarding card disputes and discrepancies.
• Balancing VISA reports to General Ledger Visa accounts.
• Pull General Ledger reports and post daily settlement totals.
• Daily balancing of card activity.
• Review Member Selected Pin Reports daily and make changes to data processing and card systems.
• Compile End of Day files and submit to Jack Henry for processing daily.
• Review Fraud Center email notifications daily and take action when necessary.
• Maintain Red Flag Incident Reports and compile statistics reports quarterly for the CFO.
• Pull and review the card balancing report from the General Ledger when there is a discrepancy between the network and the internal system.
• Input Regulation E information, when necessary, in order to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and submit file for VISA statements.
• Balance all ATMs back to the General Ledger.
• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations governing cards.
• Take ownership of card program, have strong member service skills, learn everything about card program, and work closely with card vendor having supervisor step in only when needed.
• Serve as backup to the accountant for card related issues and questions when needed.
• Work to train the Electronic Services Assistant on procedures and issues related to card services

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of related Card Services experience in a similar financial institution setting.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide quality member service while projecting a positive image.
• Keep all member and employee-related business in strictest confidence.
• Update member account note screen with any and all pertinent information.
• Comply with Credit Union operations and security procedures.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and secure work area, equipment, and files.
• Maintain all documentation and files according to the applicable retention schedule.
• Maintain knowledge of Credit Union procedures and support tools related to all areas.
• Participate in Performance Reviews for direct reports annually.
• Complete all Required Training in a timely manner.
• Ensure all communication with co-workers and members is professional, positive, and in a cooperative manner to establish and maintain effective and efficient relations.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing pre-determined goals and meeting deadlines.
• Serve as administrator for vendors providing service products applicable to your department.
• Assist in special projects and/or committees as requested.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 80.0 per week
