The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) is currently recruiting for an Office Technician (Typing) in the Enforcement Division's Case Management/Citation Enforcement Section.
 
This position is located in NORWALK.  
 
Under the general direction of the Supervising Special Investigator I (Non-Peace Officer) [SSI I], the Office Technician (Typing) [OT(T)] performs a variety of complex clerical/technical duties necessary to support the initiation, processing, and maintenance of non-licensee and licensee citation cases in the Citation Enforcement Section.

  • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the CalCareers.ca.gov website.

Chapter 2, section 154.3 California Business Professions Code (a) pursuant to subdivision (u) of Section 11105 of the Penal Code, the department shall submit to the Department of Justice fingerprint images and related information required by the Department of Justice for an employee, prospective employee, contractor, subcontractor, or volunteer. The Department of Justice shall provide a state- or federal-level response pursuant to subdivision (p) of Section 11105 of the Penal Code.

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

Incumbent must possess good oral and written communication skills, use good judgment in decision-making, exercise creativity and flexibility in problem identification and resolution, manage time and resources effectively, and be responsive to CSLB and the Department of Consumer Affairs management needs. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for this job.

Salary : $45,948 - $57,528
