Job Duties
Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Program Admin. Specialist - Treatment Planning Coordinator who will provide administrative and clinical support services to interdisciplinary treatment teams that promote timely and quality treatment plans and other clinical documentation; coordinate and oversee execution of treatment planning process to ensure the treatment plan is accurate, complete and person-centered; coordinate and ensure that treatment plans are completed within the established timelines of hospital policy; coordinate the treatment team’s timely completion of Addendum to Treatment Plan notes following any incident of S/R and monitors to ensure all necessary updates/revisions are documented in the individual’s treatment plan; and ensure that all monitors applied to treatment planning will meet minimum of 90% compliance.
This position will also assist Nursing with daily morning rounds, helping to synthesize elements from the 24 hour report into a format that emphasizes most important information pertaining to patient care and needs for members of the treatment team; coordinate and schedule initial staffings and routine Treatment Planning Conferences on behalf of the interdisciplinary treatment team, ensuring that necessary members are able to attend, including the individual receiving services and identified supports (e.g., family members); conduct treatment plan training as needed for new members of the assigned treatment team and new clinical employees and provide as needed refresher training; provide 2-4 hours of PSR groups per week; provide individual and milieu-based interventions – in consultation with the team psychologist – that address core treatment needs of patients; and provide other clinical interventions including 1:1 mentoring, unit-based activities (e.g., special events, on-unit programming), etc.

- Bachelor's level degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology nursing or rehabilitation services
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychiatric treatment pertaining to adult age groups
- Familiarity and ability to compose a Treatment Plan inclusive of goals, objectives and interventions specific to each patient’s individualized needs
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and physical conditions
- Familiarity with non-pharmacological interventions to address biopsychosocial needs of patients with varying degrees of acuity and complexity
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to use Electronic Health Records
- Master's degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or Rehabilitation Services
- Experience documenting in Electronic Health Records
