Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of juvenile inmates to maintain order and safety within the facility
- Monitor youth behavior through CCTV surveillance systems to ensure compliance with rules and protocols
- Respond promptly to incidents or conflicts, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations
- Conduct regular security checks, including visual inspections and fence patrols, to uphold facility integrity
- Document incidents, behavioral observations, and routine activities through detailed report writing
- Administer first aid or CPR when necessary, providing immediate care until medical professionals arrive
- Enforce facility policies by managing inmate conduct and facilitating rehabilitative programs
Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, security, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV operations, conflict-management techniques, incident reporting procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred; candidates without these credentials must be willing to obtain them.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure and manage sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs require.
- Demonstrated commitment to youth development, safety standards, and ethical conduct.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
