Job Summary:
The production line associate will include dough preparation & sheeting, filling depositing, folding & forming, and finishing. The production line associate works in a fast-paced environment that requires teamwork and collaboration.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Dough Preparation & Sheeting: Dough is mixed and fed by conveyor, then cut into precise weight, and sheeted. Machines handle cutting and weight.
- Filling Depositing: Manually depositing fillings—traditionally with a cheese blend and savory meat mix—onto one half of the dough circle.
- Folding & Forming: Folded into a half-moon or semicircular shape. Folding is completed by hand and crimping the edge to prevent leakage.
- Finishing: The topping mix is added by machine but must be monitored to reduce under or over application.
- Production Line Support: Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet daily production quotas, often in an assembly line style of processing.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including clearing waste.
- Material Handling: Move racks of finished goods to their destination in oven room for proofing and baking.
- Other: Performs other related duties as requested by management.
- Attention to Detail: High level accuracy with the inspection of products, verification of proper size and weight.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks for prolonged periods (8–12-hour shifts), walk, bend, kneel, lift (less than 50 lbs.).
- Fast-Paced Capability: Ability to keep up with production quotas as a team.
- Communication & Teamwork: Ability to work well within a team and report issues, such as the finding of defective materials, malfunctioning equipment, or workplace hazards, with management.
- Bilingual: English & Spanish is a plus
- Safety Conscious: Comply with all company safety rules and OSHA regulations.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred but not required.
