Lead Maintenance Mechanic - Millwright, Fabricator

POSITION PURPOSE:

We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Millwright to join our dynamic team. You will be instrumental in ensuring our machinery is in top condition, enhancing our operational efficiency, and maintaining our reputation for quality. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a proven track record of maintaining industrial machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned.

• Install, maintain, dismantle, and overhaul machinery as required.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Align and adjust machinery as needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide timely solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with a team of technicians and provide guidance when needed.
• Welding, Fabrication of machine parts.

• Proven experience as a Millwright or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications in mechanical maintenance or related fields.
• Physical ability to handle heavy machinery.
• High school diploma; further education or certification is preferred.

Education and/or experience

High School Diploma or equivalent, Trade School as a welder, millwright.

May include lifting up to 50 pounds for equipment, on occasion.

The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection are required.
