The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) seeks a qualified candidate to join our faculty as a part-time Early Childhood Education Assistant in our Nursery program to begin in the 2026-27 school year.
The Early Childhood Education Assistant works collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and Lead Assistant to support the daily rhythms and activities of the Nursery classroom, serving children ages 2 to 4½ years old.
Knowledge of Waldorf educational philosophy is preferred.

- Supervising children during outdoor play and daily activities.
- Supporting the Lead Teacher and Lead Assistant with daily classroom routines and transitions.
- Assisting with classroom organization, setup, and cleanup.
- Building warm, meaningful relationships with the children.
- Helping to nurture the domestic, artistic, and rhythmic life of the classroom.
- Sharing responsibility for maintaining a beautiful, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Supporting the creation of an atmosphere of security, warmth, and joy where children can thrive.
- Assisting in fostering a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications that meet Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) requirements.
- A genuine love of working with children ages 2 to 4½ years old.
- An interest in and appreciation for Waldorf education is preferred.
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
