The Role briefly:

As Executive Assistant to the Academic Dean, you’ll be the organizational heartbeat of Academic Affairs—anticipating needs, managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and events, and moving priorities forward. You’ll represent the Academic Dean with professionalism, handle confidential information with discretion, and ensure the office runs smoothly every day.

In this role, you will:

  • Orchestrate the Academic Dean’s calendar, meetings, and travel.
  • Prepare polished correspondence, briefings, agendas, and follow‑through on action items.
  • Support Board of Trustees-related and faculty governance needs (logistics, materials, minutes as needed).
  • Track budget activity, reconcile expenses, and facilitate purchasing according to policy.
  • Lead/coordinate special projects and Academic Affairs events (timelines, tasking, vendors, on-site coordination).
  • Serve as a trusted liaison to faculty, staff, students, trustees, and external partners.
  • Welcome visitors and keep the office responsive and hospitable.

A week in the life might include: compiling a board briefing, finalizing a retreat agenda, aligning calendars for a multi-time‑zone meeting, confirming a venue, posting action items, and praying with a colleague before a key decision.
