Job Description - Account Specialist

Position: General Accounting / Office & Business Support Company: Elektro Assemblies Location: Red Wing, Minnesota Reports To: Management

Position Summary

Elektro Assemblies is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounting Specialist professional to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting, business, and office functions while helping keep the business organized and running efficiently.

The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change. This person should be a problem solver who takes ownership, follows through, and looks for ways to make processes better.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Process invoices, payments, deposits, and customer billing
• Assist with bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
• Monitor customer accounts and support collections
• Maintain organized accounting documentation
• Work closely with management and outside accounting resources
  
  

Office & Business Support

• Manage day-to-day office support functions
• Maintain files, records, and company documentation
• Assist with purchasing, supplies, and vendor coordination
• Support employee onboarding and general administrative needs
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide professional customer and employee support
• Coordinate meetings, schedules, and other office activities
• Help establish and improve business processes
  
  

Technology & Process Improvement

• Utilize Microsoft Office, especially Excel, at a high level
• Leverage technology and AI tools to improve efficiency
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and other business processes
• Maintain accurate data and documentation across company systems

• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Able to handle confidential information professionally
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Equivalent education and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Strong Excel skills required
• Experience with accounting software preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
