Responsibilities For Employment
- Provide advanced customer service and technical support to end-users for hardware and software to identify root cause, and provide technical support
- Analyze, research, and resolve complex end-user escalation incidents or issues and troubleshooting from other IT support staff; escalate as necessary
- Install, configure, and test installed hardware and software on new or existing devices, in accordance with standard procedures
- Set up new equipment and devices; set up and maintain workstations; provide appropriate access to applications, systems, and data
- Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to IT support staff and end-users
- Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly
- Monitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
- Communicate and translate technical information to non-technical end users; maintain communication and monitor incident through resolution
- Participate in the maintenance, implementation, troubleshooting, and end-user support for applications, mobile devices, and servers
- Implement security policies and protocols
- Review, update, and maintain documentation to ensure internal processes and procedures, workflows, and training manuals are current
- Review and evaluate new hardware and software products; recommend the implementation of new products
- Create, track, and maintain reports and provide updates to management
- Assist in tracking and maintaining hardware and software inventory; interact with vendors
- May mentor, train, and direct the work of other staff members and/or student workers
- Active Directory User Management (Creations, Terminations, Attribute Modifications, Group Memberships)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft M365 Products (Outlook, Office, Teams, SharePoint, Yammer, Planner, OneDrive)
- Maintain full compliance with all corporate network Standards and SOPs as well as all SOX and FDA Part 11 guidelines.
- Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, printers, and other related equipment and devices.
- Investigate user problems, identify the source of the issue and implement the solution.
- Manage and maintain system backups of critical network resources.
- Review and implement lifecycle management of servers, key network systems, and associated hardware to ensure maximum performance.
- Prioritize and Implement standard services
- Create and update site documentation
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve hardware and software systems
- Determine timeframes and manage/oversee completion for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, expansions, and outages
- IS Application – Corporate provided - troubleshoot all issues and coordinate issue resolution with application provider
- Manages local IT budget
- Troubleshoot client login issues to determine and resolve the reported problem (Account, Connectivity, and Cisco VPN)
- Troubleshoot telephone and VOIP issues
- General Windows Troubleshooting (Reboot, Cleanup, Drivers, Patching)
- Troubleshoots network connectivity issues (WIFI, LAN, Internet Provider)
- Data Center management
- Manage. Rack, wire, and provides console access to Cisco Switches
- Depending on the needs of the company, the employee may be entrusted with and asked to perform other tasks related to his/her competence.
- Server Administration for site specific servers.

- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Years And Type Of Experience
- 4 years of experience within IT/Technical environment
- Cisco knowledge and certification a plus; Microsoft Certification (preferred)
- Advanced (C1)
- Internationally and culturally aware
- Strategic focus with the ability to also operate tactically when needed
- Exceptional Analytical thinking with effective judgment and decision-making capabilities
- Patience with users and ability to remain calm
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
