Duties
- Manage daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to maximize productivity.
- Supervise and motivate technicians and support staff to deliver top-tier auto body repairs and auto painting services.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards through thorough inspections and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, customers, and vendors to facilitate smooth communication and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts inventory, and shop activities for reporting purposes.
- Promote ongoing training in auto body repair techniques, auto glass replacement, detailing, and automotive repair best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing an auto body shop or collision repair facility with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
- This Job require travel up to 200 days per year during peak years. Travel expenses covered.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and automotive repair processes.
- Hands-on familiarity with hand tools, power tools, auto painting equipment, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of auto glass installation, auto painting techniques, and detailing procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high safety standards.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, insurance adjusters, and team members.
- Valid experience in dealership or similar automotive environments is highly desirable.
