Responsibilities and practice

Dentons US LLP is seeking a mid-level Associate with excellent academic credentials to join our top ranked, rapidly growing and innovative Global Venture Technology practice. Candidates should have experience in commercial, technology and IP licensing. The attorney hired for this position will have a passion for working with entrepreneurs and emerging growth tech companies and can expect to assume such responsibilities as:

• Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial b2b and b2c agreements, relating to software and other technology development, SaaS, outsourcing and in-bound and out-bound licensing, reseller relationships, and terms of use/terms of service;
• Advising clients regarding contractual matters, as well as internet, social media, marketing, advertising, open source, blockchain/cryptocurrency, AI, and e-commerce-related issues for a wide range of clients including, media and entertainment companies, technology platforms, retailers, social media companies, ad tech companies, mobile app providers, cloud storage providers, telecommunications companies, financial services companies, and software licensors and developers; and
• Helping to build relationships with clients and the broader ecosystem.

Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position is $260,000 - $365,000, based on experience. Dentons US LLP associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate based on years of experience. Position requirements

Personal skills/attributes

Technical skills

• 3-5 years of legal experience is required
• Experience with competitive firms in the tech sector is preferred, and familiarity with tech transactions are important
• Experience with AI, blockchain/cryptocurrency, and broadly, fintech and health tech is a plus
• Strong academic credentials are required

Other requirements

• Should be licensed to practice law in the State of New York and be in good standing
