Responsibilities and practice

Dentons Davis Brown is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Ames, Iowa office. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney looking to grow their practice within a collaborative, full-service law firm with deep roots in Iowa and access to the resources of a national platform.

We are open to candidates from a variety of practice areas and are primarily focused on finding an attorney who is committed to providing exceptional client service, building lasting relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of our Ames office.

Position requirements

Personal skills/attributes

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Iowa, or eligible for admission
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across practice groups
• Demonstrated business development experience and a commitment to practice growth
• Existing book of business or portable client base preferred

Technical skills

• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills

Other requirements

• Should be licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa and be in good standing
