Under the general supervision of the campus diagnostician, performs clerical tasks and data entry into computer databases.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Two (2) years of clerical and data entry experience
Special Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to communicate with the diagnostician, campus staff, students and parents
- Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance and 10-key skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to use personal computer and software for word processing and to develop spreadsheets and databases, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and DISD network
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Ability to exercise good judgment in handling confidential information
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Under the general supervision of the campus diagnostician, performs clerical tasks and data entry into computer databases for the campus diagnostician and speech-language pathologist.
- Processes and uploads ARD and FIE documents.
- Distributes notices of ARD meetings to campus staff, ARD Committee members and parents.
- Maintains ARD calendar to notify and prepare for meetings.
- Documents all contacts with parents and with campus personnel.
- Maintains confidentiality of all records and meeting proceedings.
- Organizes and ensures language interpreter for meetings, e.g., FIE, ARDs, etc.
Other Related Duties:
- Follows district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Participates in professional development, faculty/department meetings, and special events as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Tools and Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; may require occasional district-wide and statewide travel
