About the Agency

Denton Atkinson State Farm is a small, locally owned agency in Lake Stevens. We opened in August 2021, so we're about four and a half years in, so, still early enough to have that startup energy, but established enough to have real momentum and the backing of a nationally recognized brand. The team is small by design, which means less bureaucracy, more ownership, and work that's actually visible. This isn't a corporate office where you blend in. What you do here moves the needle every day.

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule:

  • 32-hour work week
  • Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Hybrid:Remote Mondays and Fridays | In-office Tuesday–Thursday

Compensation:

  • Structure: Hourly base uncapped commissions bonuses recurring sales promotions
  • Total comp range: $50,000 – $100,000
  • On-target earnings: $65,000

What the Job Looks Like

This role is a mix of customer service and sales. Both sides are equally important.

  • Build real relationships with clients— not transactional ones. People should feel taken care of, not processed.
  • Take excellent care of the customers we already have— respond fast, follow through, and make sure nobody falls through the cracks.
  • Bring in new business through proactive outreach— calls, texts, emails. You're not waiting for the phone to ring.
  • Cross-sell existing clients into coverage that actually makes sense for them— this is about protecting people better, not just hitting a number.
  • Meet and exceed sales and retention goals— there are targets, and the right person here is motivated by them, not intimidated.

State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents' employees are not employees of State Farm. Agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
