Job Responsibilities
- Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose oral health conditions
- Utilize digital X-rays and imaging technology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Perform comprehensive general dentistry procedures including fillings, crowns, veneers, extractions, whitening, bonding, and decay treatment
- Administer local anesthesia as needed for patient comfort
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and preventative evaluations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions
- Prescribe medications including antibiotics and pain management when appropriate
- Take dental impressions for custom appliances such as dentures and mouthguards
- Maintain strict compliance with sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and CDC regulations
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
- Active state dental license (Washington) or eligibility for licensure
- CPR certification required
- Knowledge of dental health and safety regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and CDC guidelines
- Experience with dental software or practice management systems preferred
- 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
