Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to form treatment plans.
- Discuss treatment options with patients.
- Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, preventive practices, and post-treatment instructions to promote oral health habits.
- Take dental images and intraoral photos using dental x-ray equipment.
- Adhering to infection prevention protocols.
- Assist with chairside procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document treatment details accurately and review medical records for comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive medical information.
- Support infection control practices by sterilizing dental equipment, managing infection prevention protocols, and adhering to healthcare safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist clinically.
- Proficiency with EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Familiarity with dental equipment operation, dental imaging procedures, and infection prevention management.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on dental care practices.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties including handling dental instruments and supporting dentists during procedures.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards such as aseptic technique and HIPAA compliance management.
- Ability to assess patients’ medical history accurately through patient care activities while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 32.0 per week
