Hygienist

We’re searching for a dental hygienist to join our practice to assist the dentist and other team members with a variety of procedures.

Pediatric Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Counseling and calming patients during examinations and treatments.
• Screening patients, which includes a mouth and neck examination as well as a review of their oral health history.
• Patient education on the correct tooth and gum care, as well as the impact of diet on oral health.
• Perform dental radiograph procedures.
• Sterilizing dental devices and equipment.
• Plaque removal, tooth cleaning, and gum disease prevention.
• Assisting the dentist in all aspects of dental care.
• Being up-to-date with the most recent advancements in dentistry.
• Gathering patients’ medical and dental histories.
• Produce thorough documentation of procedure in dental records.

Pediatric Hygienist Requirements:

• Degree in dental hygiene from a recognized university.
• Pennsylvania hygiene license or pending license.
• Up-to-date CPR certification.
• Up to date Hepatitis B vaccination.
• The ability to perform radiographic procedures.
• Ability to accurately and effectively communicate (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
• Comfortable doing a wide range of computer tasks.
• Being well-versed in the areas of oral hygiene and dental wellness.

Compensation:

• $40-$42 per hour Production bonus.
• Continuing education reimbursement after 90 days.
• Flexible scheduling.

• Benefits are available for full-time staff after 90 days.
• Full-time status begins at 28 hours per week.

We are willing to employ and train a candidate prior to receiving license notification. Candidates would be employed as a hygiene assistant prior to receipt of license.
